Ex-engineer stole 2,000+ pages of AI supercomputing trade secrets for China
Former Google engineer Linwei Ding uploaded more than 2,000 pages of confidential AI infrastructure material, covering TPU and GPU systems and AI workload orchestration software, to a personal cloud account between May 2022 and April 2023 while affiliated with China-based firms. He was indicted in March 2024 and convicted in January 2026.
