Cloud misconfiguration exposed vehicle data of 2.15 million Toyota customers for a decade
Toyota said a misconfigured cloud environment for its connected car service left data on about 2.15 million customers in Japan, including email addresses, vehicle identifiers, vehicle locations and some in-car video, publicly accessible from November 2013 until April 2023. A wider review later found additional exposed customer data.
