T-Connect source code on GitHub exposed 296,019 customer emails for five years
Toyota said a subcontractor uploaded part of the T-Connect website source code, including a data server access key, to a public GitHub repository in 2017. Up to 296,019 email addresses and customer management numbers could have been accessed until the key was changed in September 2022.
