Santander customer and staff data accessed through third-party database
Santander said on May 14, 2024 that information on customers of Santander Chile, Spain and Uruguay and on all current and some former employees was accessed in a database hosted by a third-party provider, later linked to Snowflake. It told US regulators 12,786 US employees were affected; hackers claimed data on 30 million customers.
