Kyushu Electric loses backup drive holding data of 10.9 million customers
Kyushu Electric Power said an external backup drive left in an unlocked server room cabinet went missing, holding names, addresses, phone numbers and usage data of 10.9 million customer accounts. It filed a police report and informed Japan's privacy regulator.
