The business associate (BA), JDA Health Systems, dba Parathon, reported that it experienced a cybersecurity incident that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 8,099 individuals. The PHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, claims and financial information, and other treatment information. The BA implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards in its mitigation efforts. OCR provided technical assistance regarding the HIPAA Rules.
