The covered entity (CE), TOTS Inc. dba Kiddos’ Clubhouse, reported that it was the victim of a cyberattack affecting the protected health information (PHI) of 1,868 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, diagnoses, and health insurance and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on its website. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its sensitive data. Routine staff training was also implemented.
