Tobii Dynavox

Tobii Dynavox, the covered entity (CE), reported that an employee was the target of an email phishing attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 1,098 individuals. The PHI involved included names, birthdates, addresses, Social Security numbers, diagnoses, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards. Staff were retrained on email security.
