The covered entity (CE), Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - Flower Mound, reported that an employee sent emails that contained the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 781 individuals without using the blind carbon copy function. The ePHI involved included names and email addresses. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE retrained its staff on email security.
