The covered entity (CE), Texas Children’s Hospital, reported that its business associate experienced a ransomware attack affecting the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of approximately 1,987 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, dates of birth, and treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media.
