Sargent's Group

The Sargent’s Group, the business associate (BA), reported that it experienced a malware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 1,650 individuals. The PHI involved included names and treatment information. The BA notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the BA provided complimentary credit monitoring services and implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect sensitive data.
