Pharmacy Group of Mississippi

The covered entity (CE), Pharmacy Group of Mississippi, LLC, reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 13,129 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security and drivers’ license numbers, medications, and diagnoses. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on its website. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect PHI.
