Patelco Credit Union suffered a ransomware attack on June 29, 2024 that shut down customer-facing banking systems for about two weeks. In August it told regulators that names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers of about 726,000 people were exposed; RansomHub claimed the attack and published the data.
