Bangladesh government website leaks personal data of over 50 million citizens
A security researcher found that a Bangladesh government website exposed personal data including names, addresses, phone numbers and national ID numbers of more than 50 million citizens, as reported by TechCrunch on July 7, 2023. The ICT state minister acknowledged the leak and blamed website vulnerabilities rather than hacking.
