Microchip Technology intrusion disrupts manufacturing and exposes employee data
Chipmaker Microchip Technology detected suspicious activity on August 17, 2024 and found an unauthorized party had disrupted some servers and business operations. It later said the intruder obtained employee contact information and some encrypted and hashed passwords, with no customer or supplier data identified as taken.
