SIM swap of Kroll employee exposes data of FTX, BlockFi and Genesis bankruptcy claimants
Kroll said that on August 19, 2023 T-Mobile transferred an employee's phone number to an attacker in a SIM swapping attack, giving the attacker access to files with personal information of bankruptcy claimants in the FTX, BlockFi and Genesis cases. Claimants then received phishing emails spoofing FTX.
