InVue Security Products, Inc. Employee Group Health Plan

The covered entity (CE), InVue Security Products, Inc. Employee Group Health Plan, reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 1,062 patients. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, diagnoses, claims and financial information, Social Security numbers, lab results, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its PHI.
