Globe Life extorted over data stolen from American Income Life unit
Globe Life disclosed that an unknown threat actor was trying to extort it over customer and lead data traced to its American Income Life subsidiary, including some Social Security numbers and health data. About 5,000 people were known to be affected at the time of the filing; no ransomware was used.
