Georgia Northside Ear, Nose, and Throat

Tenet Healthcare, on behalf of Georgia Northside Ear, Nose, and Throat, the covered entity (CE), reported that an employee of the CE was the subject of an email phishing attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 37,774 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, claims information, diagnoses, and other treatment information. Tenet Healthcare notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional technical safeguards to better protect its sensitive data.
