Certegy database analyst steals 8.5 million consumer records
A database administrator at FIS subsidiary Certegy Check Services stole consumer records containing card, bank account and other personal details and sold them to a data broker. FIS first estimated 2.3 million records and raised it to 8.5 million in SEC filings.
