FEDERAL EXPRESS CORPORATION GROUP HEALTH PLAN FOR PILOTS

The covered entity (CE), Federal Express Corporation Group Health Plan for Pilots, reported that a vendor of its business associate (BA) experienced a ransomware attack that impacted the protected health information (PHI) of 668 individuals. The PHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, diagnoses, conditions, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards.
