The covered entity (CE), Catholic Medical Center, reported that its business associate experienced a ransomware attack affecting the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of approximately 18,623 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, addresses, and dates of birth. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media.
