Volkswagen software unit left location data of 800,000 EVs exposed
Researchers reported that Volkswagen's software unit Cariad left terabytes of data on about 800,000 Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen electric vehicles exposed online for months, including precise locations for about 460,000. Cariad fixed the flaw and said it saw no access beyond the researchers.
