Atlanta Women's Health Group

Atlanta Women's Health Group, the covered entity (CE), reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 33,839 individuals. The PHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, diagnoses, medications, Social Security numbers, and other treatment information. The CE notified OCR, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards and retrained its staff to better protect PHI.
