Qilin ransomware halts Asahi breweries and exposes 1.9M people's data
Asahi said ransomware executed on September 29, 2025 encrypted servers and PCs, halting production in Japan; Qilin claimed the attack. Asahi later said personal data of about 1.525 million customer service contacts, 114,000 external contacts, 107,000 employees and retirees and 168,000 family members may have leaked, with no card data.
