The covered entity (CE), Altoona Logan Township Mobile Medical Emergency Department Authority, reported that it experienced a cyberattack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 6,169 individuals. The PHI involved included first and last names, dates of birth, addresses, and telephone numbers. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE provided complimentary credit monitoring services and implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards.
