On December 20, 2016, Alliant Health Plans, Inc., the covered entity (CE), submitted a Breach Report stating that Summit Reinsurance, a reinsurer for the CE, had experienced a data security event. OCR has reviewed the matter, and based on our review, OCR has determined that no violation of the HIPAA laws occurred.
