LockBit ransomware at NHS software vendor Advanced disrupts 111 and care systems
Advanced, an IT supplier to the UK's NHS, confirmed a ransomware attack on August 4, 2022 that took down its Adastra patient management and other care systems. It later said LockBit 3.0 was used, initial access came via third-party credentials on a Citrix server, and data tied to 16 customers was exfiltrated.
